Research

Research method: Heuristic evaluation and competitive analysis.

To gain additional clarity for the redesign of the website “MD under the radar” with intuitive user experience and user retention as the objective. I performed Heuristic evaluation and competitive analysis.

Key themes from research:

  • Visual noise because of repeated, unnecessary texts and buttons.

  • Inconsistent layout and color usage among different pages of the website, presents a learnability issue.

  • Narrow down the website from 8 pages long to 4 pages.

  • Primary task button at the end, loosing user due to decision fatigue by the end of the page.

Concept : User Flow

Design : Design system

Outcomes

  • Improved learnability by decreasing visual noise via removing repeated content.

  • Increased efficiency via designing consistent layout throughout the website.

  • Prioritize the primary task button to increase user retention.
